Troop 9 – Scouts BSA<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Cub Scout Pack 9 is closely associated with Scouts BSA Boy Scout Troop 9<\/a><\/strong>. Troop 9 has been continuously chartered since 1917, and we share facilities (built for the Scouts in 1956) with Troop 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charter\/Established<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Pack 9 was established in 1938, making it the one of the oldest Cub Scout packs in Austin, Texas (83 years old in 2021). It is chartered through the Bryker Woods Elementary Parent-Teacher Association<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Girls in Pack 9<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Kindergartners in Pack 9<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

January, 2019 marked the introduction of Kindergartners, ages 5-6, into Pack 9 as well. This article<\/a><\/strong> on Scouting.org has more details. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Armadillo District<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We are a part of the Armadillo District<\/strong><\/a>, which is a geographic subdivision of the Capitol Area Council, and contained mostly within Austin. It supports approximately 2,100 Scouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Capitol Area Council<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our council is the Capitol Area Council<\/strong><\/a>, which started in 1912, and supports scouting programs in 15 central Texas counties: Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, DeWitt, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Hays, Lavaca, Lee, Liano, Mason, Travis, and Williamson. The Council owns and operates 7 camping properties, in addition to the Frank Fickett Scout Training and Service Center, and the Steve Matthews Scout Shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
